Merchant Activity Notice

More information about unauthorized card transactions

Due to an increase in reports of unauthorized transactions associated with variations of Walmart.com, we have blocked transactions with this merchant to help protect our members. Based off our review, Walmart.com is intercepting and reversing those transactions.

We want to reassure you that any unauthorized charges from Walmart.com you may see on your account will be reversed, either by Walmart or by Members Choice, as soon as possible, typically within 3 business days. If your transaction has not been reversed by Walmart within 24 hours from the date it posted (it has cleared and is not a pending charge), our Members Choice team will assist you with the reversal, which you can start by completing our online dispute form and selecting “I did not authorize this transaction(s)”.

Your safety and peace of mind are our top priorities. You may continue to use your current card and it will remain active during this time. For additional peace-of-mind we will be proactively mailing out a replacement card by mail to you. We know your time is important, so you do not need to visit a branch to get a new card in person.

We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue and restore normal service. Please know that we are here to help every step of the way.

We know this is an inconvenience and really appreciate your patience. If you have additional questions, you can drop us a secure message in online banking. Call volumes are currently higher than normal, but we are getting to all call backs as soon as possible.

Ways to manage your card in online banking, anytime

Under the "Accounts" menu you can go to "Manage My Cards"  to find the controls to temporarily block or unblock your card, or to setup card transaction alerts. Debit card activity alerts notify you of transactions made with your debit card, helping you monitor for fraud and manage your spending. These alerts can be customized to notify you of specific types of transactions, such as those above a certain dollar amount, etc. By receiving these alerts, you can quickly identify and address any unauthorized or suspicious activity on your account.
