Please join us for our Grand Opening Celebration and 2018 Annual Meeting on Tuesday, May 22nd.
Visit https://www.mccu.com/grandopening for details.
We are committed to helping our members achieve their dreams by providing financial guidance, quality products and convenient services. Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, attend schools or owns a business located in the following areas:
Here is a list of zip codes that we serve.
When you become eligible for membership at Members Choice CU, so does your entire family (in-laws too!). Regardless of where your family members reside, we’d be glad to assist them with their financial needs.
We serve more than 200 Partner Companies. If you don’t see your employer listed, talk to your Human Resources Representative or Office Manager about providing Members Choice as an employee benefit. There is no cost to add your organization to our field of membership. For more information about offering credit union membership to your employees or members, contact Vanessa Wheeless at 281.754.1159 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Credit unions are not like other types of financial institutions. We may offer similar products and services, but the way we operate provides better benefits to consumers. With credit unions, nothing gets in the way of our service to members. We exist for your benefit. Here are some of the ways credit unions remain unique:
When you join a credit union, you become a member and part owner. We don’t have or answer to stockholders. We exist for your benefit. Each year at our Annual Meeting, you get one vote – the same as every other member – to elect the credit union’s Board of Directors. In addition, once you join a credit union, anyone related to you can also join, regardless of where they live or work.
You get more personalized service and access to generally better rates on savings and loans. Since we don’t have stockholders, we don’t have to charge unreasonable fees or withhold benefits from you to pay a select group of people with our profits. We keep our operating expenses low, fulfill the capital requirements set by our regulators and use whatever is left to continue providing you the best services and rates possible.
Your credit union Board of Directors do not get paid for their service, and they do not get special perks for being on the board. They are members just like you, elected by you, and they make decisions based on what’s best for the membership as a whole. For-profit institutions are run by officers and directors who are bound to make decisions in the best interest of the stockholders.
We want to serve your financial needs even if you don’t make a large income. That’s why credit unions were founded over a hundred years ago – to help people – and it’s how we continue to operate today. We understand that people of all ages and income levels need financial help, and we’ll do what we can to help you find effective solutions. Other financial institutions often view this type of service as risky. We view it as necessary.
If you’re not already a member, we invite you to join Members Choice Credit Union and start experiencing what so many others have known for years – that credit unions are for people, not for profit.
