New Auto Loan Next Steps

Welcome to Members Choice


Congratulations on your new auto loan! Welcome to terms that beat the big banks and interest rates that save you money over the life of your loan.  

Here are the next steps to set up your auto loan account and actively use your Members Choice Credit Union membership: 

1. Insurance updates

Please confirm with your auto insurance provider that your vehicle has sufficient coverage, including:
    • Have both comprehensive and collision coverage on the vehicle
    • Ensure the deductible for both coverages do not exceed $1,000.00

Please submit your updated proof of insurance:
    • Online at www.myinsuranceinfo.com
    • Via email: info@myinsuranceinfo.com
    • Via fax: 800-709-4818
    • Direct any questions related to submitting your proof of insurance to Allied Solutions at 800-998-0652
    • If you received a request for proof of insurance from Members Choice, please submit it online, via email or via fax as indicated above.

2. Make a loan payment

In the coming weeks, you will receive your payment coupons from Members Choice in the mail. Each of your payment coupons contains your account number at top along with the due date of your first payment. Use your payment coupons to make your first payment on your new loan. Once you have your account number, you will be able to set up your payment through online and mobile banking with Members Choice.

You can also choose to make your payments or find answers to your questions over the phone at 281.398.9900 or at one of our branch locations. Our Solutions Center hours are:

    • Monday - Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
    • Saturday: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
    • After-hours - limited services available






Activate your online account access by following these easy steps:

  1. Have your account number ready and go to https://secure.mccu.com/Registration
    • Your account number is located in the upper left corner of the first page of the Member Service Agreement you received when you opened your new account. 
  2. Click on “Register as an individual” 
  3. Review and Agree to the Online Banking Access terms and click Continue
    • You can also print these terms by clicking on the print icon
  4. Confirm your identity by supplying your Account Number, your social security (or tax ID number), your date of birth, email address and zip code.
  5. You will be prompted to create security questions.
  6. Congratulations, you are managing your finances online!  Now you can:
    • Pay bills online
    • Set up a budget
    • Transfer money
    • Monitor accounts
    • Deposit checks
    • Quickly add shares and/or loan products
    • Customize your account names to fit your needs

Activate your mobile access by following these easy steps:

  1. Download the Members Choice Credit Union app in the App Store or Google Play
Apple Users 

Search the app store for Members Choice Credit Union, select and download. You will be prompted to create security questions. In the app store, there is also a version of the app available for Apple Watch so you can quickly check available balances anytime.

Android users 

Search the Google Play Store for Members Choice Credit Union, select and down - You will be prompted to create security questions.

2. Enter the same username and password from online banking and continue through the enrollment process

Now you're set up to manage your account anytime, anywhere!

Set up direct deposit to your checking/savings account for a reliable and convenient way to get paid.

Direct deposit of your payroll, social security or other regular payment can be an effective way to help you budget and protect against identity theft, even while you are away. Contact your payor and request to have your payroll check automatically deposited into your Checking/Savings account. Use your member account number to complete the process.

Direct Deposit from your employer

Your employer may request this information to set up direct deposit for your regular payroll check:

  • Credit Union Name: Members Choice Credit Union – Houston, TX
  • Type of account: (checking or savings)
  • Routing / ABA number: 313083196
  • Account number: Your checking or savings account number - access by logging in to online banking. Here are the steps to find that number:
    1. Go to mccu.com
    2. Enter your username and password in Account Logins, then click Login
    3. Once you are in online banking, select the Accounts widget
    4. Select the checking or savings account you would like to use
    5. Select Account Details, then locate the full MICR Account Number (13 digits)
Use MyPay if your direct deposit originates from: 
  • Active Duty Military Service Pay
  • Reserve Military Pay
  • Military Retirement Pay
  • Department of Defenses (DoD) Pay
  • Defense Finance and Accounting Services Pay  
Use Standard Form 1199A or Go Direct if your direct deposit originates from the United States Treasury for:
  • Social Security
  • Supplemental Security Income
  • Veterans Affairs Benefits and Insurance Pay
  • Railroad Retirement
  • Civil Service Retirement

As one of the conditions of granting your loan, you are required to maintain coverage protecting our interest until your loan is paid in full. By giving your insurance agent the Members Choice information as Loss Payee/Lienholder/Lender, we will generally receive a copy of any change to your coverage.

A request for proof of insurance letter was likely sent to you because we did not receive a copy of your policy/renewal/reinstatement from your insurance agent or company. We are asking for your help to show us that you are meeting this requirement. If you have insurance with the required coverage, naming Members Choice as Loss Payee/Lienholder/Lender, please submit your insurance information via one of the following:
